Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas Accepting Nominations to its Affordable Housing Advisory Council
DALLAS, TEXAS, August 28, 2024 — The Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas) is accepting nominations through October 25, 2024, for five seats on its 2025 Affordable Housing Advisory Council (Advisory Council), including the addition of a new, at-large seat open to tribal housing executives.
The Advisory Council provides guidance to FHLB Dallas’ Board of Directors (Board) on housing finance and community investment needs in its five-state District of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico and Texas. Each Advisory Council member, appointed by the Board, represents groups such as community-based organizations, for-profit and nonprofit organizations, local governments and housing authorities throughout the District.
The terms for all new Advisory Council members are three years and will commence on January 1, 2025.
All nominees must reside in the District and in the state they represent, and must hold a leadership position within their organization. The organization should have a demonstrated capacity to assist in the creation of affordable housing and/or bring about community-based economic development and should have a history of service to very low to moderate-income housing or community lending in the District. Employees of FHLB Dallas members are not eligible to serve.
FHLB Dallas member institutions, as well as community and nonprofit organizations located in the District, are invited to submit nominations for the Advisory Council. The nomination form is available online. There are no restrictions on who can nominate, and self-nominations are also accepted. For 2024, the following seats are open:
- Louisiana — One vacancy
- Mississippi — One vacancy
- New Mexico — One vacancy
- At-Large Tribal Housing Executive — One vacancy
- Housing Finance Agency Executive — One vacancy
